Having already completed one logo in the fishing genre through degenerate fishing, i was super stoked to see this job come across my desk. Joey had seen some of my past work on social media and reached out to enquire about updating their old Lawson Lures Logo which was in dire need of a refresh. Originally designed in 1992, the brand holds strong 29 years later and is now being made and distributed through the JOLLIP Lures website.

Projects like this that revolve around an animal or specific action like fishing really excite myself as a designer. This is because in a lot of corporate logos, it's not often you get to show huge amounts of motion and energy in a logo. Whereas with this logo in particular, I got the opportunity to capture the motion of a fish striking a line which I feel was essential in showing consumers the product in action as opposed to a simple type logo or picture of a lure itself.
